Ready to Play? Introducing the RECHARGE Playbook
In February this year, together with the launch of RECHARGE NEXT, the call for proposals that attracted 40 institutions to apply to establish 6 new generation living labs, we presented the first version of the RECHARGE PLAYBOOK, developed thanks to the work of our 3 first generation RECHARGE Living Labs.
The RECHARGE PLAYBOOK is a methodological tool with clear and easy-to-follow instructions on how to facilitate the co-creation of Participatory Cultural Business Models. The 6 new generation living labs used the RECHARGE PLAYBOOK in their application and will help us to develop further the tool based on their experiences.
We envisioned the RECHARGE PLAYBOOK as a practical guide to foster integration of participatory elements into the financial sustainability of different organisations. The Playbook details 9 Participatory Cultural Business Models, which can either extend existing processes and projects, or help establish brand-new ones.
Then, it offers ready-to-use processes and examples collected from the experience of the RECHARGE first generation Living Labs. Finally, exercises, templates for running collaborative ideation activities with stakeholders during Living Labs, guidelines, and scenarios are available to help implement these business models and establish a Living Lab.
The playbook is for anyone working with cultural heritage who wishes to explore how to better financially support long-term participation. No previous experience working with business models is needed.
Curious? Download it HERE.
A future 2.0 version of the playbook will be developed based on the experience of Next Generation Living Labs, which will be announced in a few weeks, as well as on the feedback we will gather from all cultural professionals engaging with it. SO, if you want to get involved and help us improve the playbook, get in touch with Nadia Nadesan at nadia@platoniq.net and tell us what you think.
