Centrum Cyfrowe Foundation (FCC) is a think-and-do tank based in Poland that supports openness and engagement in the digital world. Together with experts and practitioners open to change, it conducts research and creates space for new ideas, skills and tools development. It strives to ensure that the social interest is always in the first place in the relationship between humans and technology.
Creativity Lab (Estonia)
Creativity Lab is a leading cultural policy and creative industries think tank, research company and consultancy in the Baltic Sea Region. Creativity Lab works with governments, municipalities and international organisations in creating favorable conditions for cultural and creative economy, as well as with cultural organisations and creative enterprises to help them innovate their business model and improve innovation capacity for sustainability and resilience.
Estonian Maritime Museum (Estonia)
The Estonian Maritime Museum collects, preserves, studies, and introduces the history of Estonian maritime culture and affairs. Our mission is to promote the people's knowledge about, respect for, and love of the sea. We do it by valuing responsibility, bold ideas, cooperation, and openness. We are an employee- and family-friendly employer and a memory institution that also fulfils the users' expectations and needs. By offering experiences to both domestic and foreign visitors, we are also increasing Estonia's popularity as a culture tourism destination.In April 2017, the Estonian Maritime Museum began to operate as a foundation and is the leading museum in the maritime field. The Estonian Maritime Museum is led by Member of the Management Board Urmas Dresen.
European Fashion Heritage Association (Italy)
The European Fashion Heritage Association (EFHA) is a non-profit international organisation that aims to valorise and promote the European fashion and textile heritage worldwide.
The Association operates as an international hub, relying on a thriving network that counts more than 45 institutions coming from 15 European countries and includes several heritage professionals and scholars.
Through EFHA, fashion GLAMs (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums), brands, researchers and creatives can share experiences and best practices in the field of digitisation, open access, co-creation, reuse and valorisation of fashion heritage resources, contributing to the digital transformation in the sector and supporting the preservation and valorisation of tangible and intangible heritage connected to textile and fashion.
Hunt Museum (Ireland)
One of Ireland's greatest collections of art and antiquities, The Hunt Museum houses over 2,500 objects and artworks dating from the Neolithic period to the 20th century, including pieces by Picasso, Renoir and Yeats. The museum operates on three platforms: physical, virtual and human. As part of our Strategy 2025, we aim to open up the Hunt collections to new audiences via these three platforms by making available in the public domain most of our holdings. We endeavour to use our collections, expertise and knowledge to increase public engagement and to broaden our reach and influence through innovation.
Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision (The Netherlands)
Sound & Vision is an institute for media in the Netherlands responsible for the business archive of the national broadcasting corporations. We preserve and provide access to different types of media, including radio and television programmes, video games, written print media, political cartoons, GIFs, websites and historical objects. Over the years, we have made available thousands of hours of archival footage online for various end-user services, including dedicated services for the creative industries, education and research. Sound & Vision is one of the leading authorities when it comes to providing insight into the Dutch media landscape and interpreting current developments from the perspective of media history. We do this with the aim of showing how media impacts everyday life and to build up a more media literate world.
Platoniq Foundation (Spain)
Platoniq Foundation designs digital participatory processes and facilitates innovative participatory methodologies to help build more democratic and just societies and organizations, making use of open civic technologies.It is also the driving force behind the civic crowdfunding platform Goteo.org, where initiatives with a social impact are financed at regional, national and international level. It also promotes cooperativism and strengthens the Social Economy. For this reason, the Foundation is part of the XES (Xarxa d'Economia Solidària de Catalunya).
Platoniq Foundation promotes transparency, collaborative and ethical economy, democratic innovation and the replicability of experiences. It is financed via partnerships with public and private institutions that share its mission and vision. We have 23 employees in our offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Rome and Palma (head office and tax office) and a team of collaborators in Spain and other European countries.
Textile Museum of Prato (Italy)
The Museo del Tessuto (Textile Museum of Prato) is the largest cultural center in Italy dedicated to the promotion of historical and contemporary textile production and art. The textile district of Prato has its origins in the Middle Ages and it is still today one of the most important in Europe. In this context, the Textile Museum represents the historical and cultural memory of the textile district and, thanks to its close relationship with local companies, also the contemporary and cutting-edge aspects of the textile and clothing market.The heritage of the Textile Museum consists of an outstanding collection of items illustrating the art of textiles from the early Christian era to the present day. The collection is truly heterogeneous: one can discover antique and contemporary textiles, clothing and accessories, sample books, machineries, and sketches. Among the items in the permanent collection, the collection of Italian Renaissance textiles is of particular interest.
University of Valladolid (Spain)
Although no documentary evidence remains to provide official proof, the University of Valladolid is probably the most senior of Spanish universities, which has also been a model for many eminent Spanish and Latin-American universities. The history of the University of Valladolid stretches back over seven centuries during which time it has grown and flourished, thanks to its ability to adapt and expand, and thanks to the warm welcome afforded by its people. Today it is one of the leading centres of higher education in Spain, with approximately 26,000 students covering four campuses, offering over 100 degrees, 17 post-graduate programmes and 50 masters, boasting a broad network of international relations, research centres, together with wide-ranging sports and cultural facilities and a rich architectural and documentary heritage. All of this combines to provide an outstanding academic environment, equal to the oldest universities in Europe in terms of history, excellence and quality of research.
